PAST:
Piper Halliwell is the middle sister. She was a self proclaimed "nobody" in high school yet excelled at her school work. When she grew older, she worked at a bank and rented an apartment with her older sister Prue. But when their grandmother became ill, both she and Prue returned to their childhood home to take care of Grams.
In a matter of weeks, the sisters' grandmother has past away from illness. Piper was a born chef and loved to cook. She soon quit her job at the bank to become a profesional chef in honor of her late grandmother's wish to fulfill her dreams. Piper applied for a position in Quake (a popular restauraunt), and on that day she finds out she has become a witch.
She has the power to selectivly freeze objects or entire rooms, and in later years, combust and explode objects.
A couple of weeks after that, Piper hires a handyman named Leo to renovate the manor. She later discovers he is a whitelighter (a guardian angel for witches). Both Phoebe and Piper fight over him but Piper ends up winning him over.
Piper soon grew weary of Quake and decided to start her own buisness. She became owner and manager of a hip new night club known as P3, which has had performances by The Barenaked Ladies, The Cranberries and Fastball.
After two and a half years of demon vanquishes, fatal illnessess, possessions and numerous false starts, Piper and Leo get married in a fary tale style wedding, but they don't live happily ever after. In a few short weeks, Piper and Phoebe has lost Prue to the Source of all evil's demonic hitman Shax.
